Voice cast of "Futurama" to return!

Fox must have slapped down the big $$$$$$$$, because the cast of Futurama will be returning for their new 26-episode run on Comedy Central!

Nice!

Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, John DiMaggio and Maurice LaMarche have all signed on the dotted line for the new season of the animated series, only after the studio made it known they were looking for voice replacements.

Futurama creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen have released a statement saying that they are "thrilled" to have the "incredible" original voice cast back on board for the upcoming eps.

As are we!

Can't be greedy in a recession! Cough. Cough. Paula Abdul!

Futurama comes back...but without it's original voices!

Even though Futurama is returning to television come 2010, no members from the original voice cast will be joining the show!!!

Comedy Central and 20th TV weren't able to negotiate a deal with the show's original cast, which included actors such as Katey Sagal and Billy West, because the cable network and studio refused to pony up the $$$$$$!

The studio offered the former cast "modest pay increases" from their original salaries, but all of the actors rejected the offer, leaving studio heads hunting for a replacement cast.

It's suckalicious!

Futurama creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen are expected to approach the topic at a panel during this year's Comic-Con convention in San Diego.

Groening and Cohen better prepare for a mob of angry fans to answer to!!

Family Guy makes Emmy history!

Major congratulations are in order to the team over at the hit animated show Family Guy. The show has earned itself a big Emmy nomination.

Outstanding Comedy series!

In all of Emmy history, only one other animated series has ever been nominated in this category and that was The Flintstones back in 1961.

(Fun Fact- The Flintstones is a production of Hanna-Barbera, which is where Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane got his start. There, now you're smarter.)

The show is up against some heavy, heavy competition - such as Entourage, Flight of the Conchords, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, 30 Rock and Weeds. The odds aren't in their favor, but for once the phrase "an honor just to be nominated" is very, very true!

So congrats Team Griffin and may we just say…Giggity.

Going where no corset has gone before!

Evening Arwen, an intimate apparel company, has launched a new line of corsets inspired by "Star Trek: The Next Generation".

Quoth their website...

This corset is designed after the Star Trek: Next Generation jumpsuits. The fabric was cut in the asymmetrical design and then pieced together.

Inside the corset is flatlined to coutil and lined with black cotton. The fashion fabric is also cotton.

The boning used is European Steel and they have been attached to the lining so you don't see the stitching on the fashion fabric. The black grommets are hammered through a lacing bone and the ribbon is black double sided satin.

Though a unique corset for sure and geared toward any of you SciFi fans out there, I hope all enjoy this inspired corset as it was a lot of fun to make!

A must for any junior officer who wants to impress it's captain, cosplayer who wants to portray the naughty side of "Star Trek" or wife/GF who wants to tear away their Geek husband/BF from their TV sets and compell them to go "where no man has gone before"

Mainly, to take out the trash!

If you feel that you must have this item, you can order it from here!

This is an item that Captain Archer, Kirk and Sisko would have approved!
Picard...well...Janeway...she's into Chakotay!

Oh No! They are reviving "V"!

Yup! Our worst fears are realized!

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Hide the hamsters...the Visitors are baaack!

Hoping to do for V what the Sci Fi Channel did for Battlestar Galactica, ABC has given the go-ahead on a reboot of the hit 1980s franchise about alien lizards from another planet who take over Earth.

Scott Peters, the brain behind The 4400, will write and executive produce the update with Warner Bros. TV, per Variety. Warners shepherded the 1983 NBC TV movie, its sequel and a standalone series that ran during the 1984-85 season.

The new version will completely revamp the original, including changing the allusions from the Holocaust to 9/11.

More here!

Man...the series was ok...but...it sucked in subsequent episodes!

Star Trek: The Experience, 1998-2008, R.I.P.

LAS VEGAS – After a decade at the final frontier, Star Trek: The Experience is going where no Las Vegas Strip attraction wants to go.

With a decommissioning ceremony — as befits any great vessel — the exhibit and its replica of the starship Enterprise are closing Monday.

Thousands of trekkies are "beaming up" from across the United Federation of Planets, er, the United States and around the world one last time, according to exhibit spokesman Chad Boutte.

Some seek a final encounter with the Borg, the television show's race of organic robot aliens who tell everyone "resistance is futile." Others just want to share a farewell drink — likely a stiff Warp Core Breach, with 10 ounces of rum — with fellow fans at the attraction's restaurant.

Employees dressed as aliens discuss the minutiae of their worlds' mythologies with visitors who learn, in typically circular trekkie logic, that the exhibit is a "time station" for transporting researchers and equipment between the 21st and 24th centuries.

For $49.99, fans can enjoy two virtual rides and the Museum of the Future, with costumes, "phasers" and Mr. Spock's coffin. More than 3 million people have come through since the Experience opened in 1998.

In the end, the frontier the USS Enterprise couldn't breach was earthly: The attraction's owner, Cedar Fair Entertainment Co., and the Las Vegas Hilton, its landlord, couldn't agree on a new lease. They worked as a typical landlord and retail tenant, with Cedar Fair keeping all revenue from the attraction, said hotel spokesman Ira David Sternberg.

Trekkies are incensed. They've scrawled reminiscences about the exhibit on the walls inside, and they're calling Cedar Fair and the hotel to complain. But their online rumor that the space the exhibit occupies will become a theater for pop star Michael Jackson is unfounded, Sternberg said. He said nothing's decided.

Karen and Eric Klein, from Easton, Pa., had planned to renew their wedding vows at the Experience on their 10th anniversary but came this week instead, four years early.

A Federation captain told them during the ceremony on the bridge of the Enterprise that the energy between them created their love.

"He had his own schtick, and it was very beautiful, and it actually made the moment even that much better," said Eric Klein, 39, still holding his wife's hand outside the gift shop. "It wasn't simply being on the bridge, it really felt very emotional."

The fat trekker sang! This can tell you how everybody still remember Star Trek. The series is DEAD!

Sad really! It was actually really good!
