Colorado; Save a life, get a ticket!

To prove the old adage that no good deed goes unpunished, here's is a good example why I don't care about living in the continental US. Why people still flock there is beyond my comprehension!

DENVER – A good Samaritan who helped push three people out of the path of a pickuptruck before being struck and injured has gotten a strange reward for his good deed: A jaywalking ticket.

Family members said 58-year-old bus driver Jim Moffett and another man were helping two elderly women cross a busy Denver street in a snowstorm when he was hit Friday night.

Moffett suffered bleeding in the brain, broken bones, a dislocated shoulder and a possible ruptured spleen. He was in serious but stable condition Wednesday.

The Colorado State Patrol issued the citation. Trooper Ryan Sullivan said that despite Moffett's intentions, jaywalking contributed to the accident.

Moffett had been driving his bus when the two women got off. In the interest of safety, he got out and, together with another passenger, helped the ladies cross.

Moffett's stepson, Ken McDonald, said the driver of the pickup plowed into his stepfather, but not before Moffett pushed the two women out of the way.

When he awoke in intensive care, he learned of the ticket. "His reaction was dazed and confused. I was a little angry," said McDonald.

The other man also was cited for jaywalking, while the pickup driver was cited with careless driving that led to injury. Sullivan said the two elderly women haven't been cited but the investigation is ongoing.

So now you know. Helping people in need does not help you in Colorado. Those two eldery woman should have froze to death or at least being run over by the incoming truck! That can save you from a ticket.

That's why the United States is in the way it is right now.

No humanity.

When you care more about the letter of the law than anybody's well being, well, you just became an A-Hole!

At least I won't be visiting Colorado anytime soon.

Book 'er Dano, while she DIES!!!!

Ok, OK. It's still getting weirder! First the dude who wanted his body in a wake to be standing up and now this.

The lady's name was Dinorah Rodríguez López, 39, from Carolina. 15 days ago she was accused of theft and booked normally. Released on bail, she was picked up yesterday on new charges of identity theft. Her bail was revoked and was informed that she will have to spend the night in jail before facing the judge. While on court, feigning illness, she excused herself to the bathroom, where she ingested a large amount of the drug Percocet.

When she didn't come back from the bathroom, court marshals went in, found her unconscious, and instead if taking her to the hospital, she was taken to the police station where she was booked while she was dying!

Seeing that her condition was getting worse, she was taken to the public hospital at Puerto Nuevo, where she died.

WTF!!!!!

What the hell is wrong with the people in this place!!!!!

Whatever she did, she didn't deserve to die like that!!!!

Is it me or the people in Puerto Rico are getting stupider by the minute!!!!

Man shoots it's own lawn mower.

Yup! You read it right. This is from AP;

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) -- A 56-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of shooting his lawn mower because it wouldn't start.

Keith Walendowski has been charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed.

According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski says he was angry because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning.

He told police: "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want."

A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She says he was intoxicated.

Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted.

After reading this...remember kids. Don't shoot you lawn mower while intoxicated with an illegal short barrel shot gun! Remember, be sober and use a heavy construction hammer!

In a not surprising event, a municipal police sargent attacked a female detective who was talking to her husband, also a police officer in the same precinct. And they are surprised that six of them killed an unarmed man in 2003.
