Misery loves company. Now Rush Limbaugh joins the Haiti insensitive verbal train.

Assholes are like whales. They call each other in the distance. Rush-Pill-Popping-Fat-Fuck-Limbaugh have joined his butt buddy, Pat Robertson in utilizing the tragedy in Haiti to further the über-reich-right agenda.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh and televangelist Pat Robertson are being scolded for their comments in the immediate aftermath of an earthquake in Haiti that has killed tens of thousands, according to early estimates.
Critics from both the left and right are denouncing their remarks as insensitive to the disaster and attempts to score political points off human tragedy.
Speaking on his radio show Wednesday, Limbaugh said the earthquake has played into Obama’s hands, allowing the president to look “compassionate” and “humanitarian” while at the same time bolstering his standing in both the “light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country.”
He added: “We've already donated to Haiti. It’s called the U.S. income tax.”
Limbaugh’s comments were, in part, a riff on Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) much publicized remark in a new book that Obama was able to win the election because he is “light-skinned” and lacks a “Negro dialect.”
But regardless of the intended context, Limbaugh’s comments have been widely panned.
“They are deeply insensitive,” said conservative commentator Pat Buchanan on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“The president speaks for the country when he says we’re going to go in there,” he said. “You want your whole nation, and it’s very positive. And I think Rush’s comments were cynical.”
Sitting next to Buchanan on set, host Joe Scarborough called Limbaugh’s comments “deplorable.”
“The insensitivity is stunning,” said the former Republican congressman.
Liberal commentators also quickly jumped on Limbaugh.
“Limbaugh did not know when to just shut up,” said liberal commentator Keith Olbermann on his MSNBC show “Countdown.” “Today he blamed communism for the poverty of Haiti, blamed President Obama for holding a news conference the day after this cataclysm when he did not hold one after the failed half-assed terror attempt in Detroit.”
John Amato from the left-leaning website Crooks and Liars added that “with thousands of people dead already and as the suffering continues in Haiti, Limbaugh and his ilk only care about one thing: destroying Obama.”
The conservative media watchdog site Newsbusters stepped up to defend Limbaugh, saying his comments were not put in proper context, but very few others are backing the conservative firebrand’s latest controversial remarks.
While Limbaugh received a modicum of support, nobody of note has stepped up to defend Robertson’s claim that Haiti got hit by an earthquake because it is “cursed.”
Speaking about the disaster during his program “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network, Robertson said that when Haiti was still a French colony its leaders “swore a pact to the devil” to get out from “under the heel of the French.”
“They said, ‘we will serve you if you will get us free from the French.’ True story. And so, the devil said, ‘OK, it’s a deal,’” Robertson claimed, as was recorded and sent around by the liberal group Media Matters.
“But ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other,” he continued. “That island of Hispaniola is one island. It is cut down the middle on the one side is Haiti the other is the Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic is prosperous, healthy, full of resorts, etc. Haiti is in desperate poverty.”
Robertson, who has a long history of making controversial remarks on his program, urged his followers to pray for the residents of Haiti and said that “out of this tragedy I’m optimistic something good may come.”
Speaking on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” White House adviser Valerie Jarrett said Thursday morning she was left “speechless” by Robertson’s remarks.
“That's not the attitude that expresses the spirit of the president or the American people, so I thought it was a pretty stunning comment to make,” she said.
A statement from Robertson’s spokesman Chris Roslan tried to downplay the “cursed” remark.
“Dr. Robertson never stated that the earthquake was God’s wrath,” the statement read. “If you watch the entire video segment, Dr. Robertson’s compassion for the people of Haiti is clear. He called for prayer for them. His humanitarian arm has been working to help thousands of people in Haiti over the last year, and they are currently launching a major relief and recovery effort to help the victims of this disaster.”

As somebody said on Twitter; "Behold these men. They are the tragic consequence of the First Amendment!"

Pat Robertson blames earthquake on Haitian people making a "pact with the Devil".

WASHINGTON - Conservative televangelist Rev. Pat Robertson on Wednesday blamed the earthquake in Haiti on a "pact with the devil" purportedly entered into by the Haitian people in a bid to defeat French colonizers in the early 19th century.

"Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it," Robertson said on his Christian Broadcasting Network show. "They were under the heel of the French ... and they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, 'We will serve you if you'll get us free from the French.'

"True story. And the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal,' " Robertson said. "Ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after another."

Hours after his comments ignited a firestorm in the news media and online, Robertson's 700 Club TV show issued a statement elaborating on his remarks.

Robertson's comments were based "on the widely-discussed 1791 slave rebellion …where the slaves allegedly made a famous pact with the devil in exchange for victory over the French. This history, combined with the horrible state of the country, has led countless scholars and religious figures over the centuries to believe the country is cursed," the statement said.

"Dr. Robertson never stated that the earthquake was God's wrath," the statement went on. It added that "Dr. Robertson's compassion for the people of Haiti is clear. He called for prayer for them."

The Haitian uprising is regarded as one of history's few successful slave revolts.

Robertson, the founder of the Christian Coalition and a 1988 Republican presidential candidate, has a history of making provocative comments, often in the wake of calamity.

He once said that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's incapacitating stroke was divine retribution for withdrawing from the Gaza Strip.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Robertson seemed to link the storm to abortion. About the same time, he called on the U.S. to assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Following the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, Robertson surmised that lack of prayer in public schools and tolerance of abortion and pornography meant that "God Almighty is lifting his protection from us."

Here's the video.

All I can say is...

FUCK YOU PAT ROBERTSON!!!!
FUCK YOU, YOU MISERABLE, RACIST MOTHERFUCKER!
WHEN YOU DIE, I'M GONNA THROW A PARTY, TO CELEBRATE YOUR DEATH, YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!!

Hotel owner makes Hispanic workers to change their names!

In something out of the 1950's, this is happening in today, 2009, in New Mexico.

TAOS, N.M. – Larry Whitten marched into this northern New Mexico town in late July on a mission: resurrect a failing hotel.

The tough-talking former Marine immediately laid down some new rules. Among them, he forbade the Hispanic workers at the run-down, Southwestern adobe-style hotel from speaking Spanish in his presence (he thought they'd be talking about him), and ordered some to Anglicize their names.

No more Martin (Mahr-TEEN). It was plain-old Martin. No more Marcos. Now it would be Mark.

Whitten's management style had worked for him as he's turned around other distressed hotels he bought in recent years across the country.

The 63-year-old Texan, however, wasn't prepared for what followed.

His rules and his firing of several Hispanic employees angered his employees and many in this liberal enclave of 5,000 residents at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, where the most alternative of lifestyles can find a home and where Spanish language, culture and traditions have a long and revered history.

"I came into this landmine of Anglos versus Spanish versus Mexicans versus Indians versus everybody up here. I'm just doing what I've always done," he says.

Former workers, their relatives and some town residents picketed across the street from the hotel.

"I do feel he's a racist, but he's a racist out of ignorance. He doesn't know that what he's doing is wrong," says protester Juanito Burns Jr., who identified himself as prime minister of an activist group called Los Brown Berets de Nuevo Mexico.

The Virginia-born Whitten had spent 40 years in the hotel business, turning around more than 20 hotels in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and South Carolina, before moving with his wife to Taos from Abilene, Texas. He had visited Taos before, and liked its beauty. When Whitten saw that the Paragon Inn was up for sale, he jumped at it.

The hotel sits along narrow, two-lane Paseo del Pueblo, where souped-up lowriders radiate a just-waxed gleam in the soft sunshine as they cruise past centuries-old adobe buildings. One recent afternoon, a woman slowly rode her fat-tire bicycle along a cracked sidewalk, oversized purple butterfly wings on her back and a breeze blowing her long, blonde dreadlocks.

The community includes Taos Pueblo, an American Indian dwelling inhabited for over 1,000 years, and an adobe Catholic church made famous in a Georgia O'Keeffe painting.

After he arrived, Whitten met with the employees. He says he immediately noticed that they were hostile to his management style and worried they might start talking about him in Spanish.

"Because of that, I asked the people in my presence to speak only English because I do not understand Spanish," Whitten says. "I've been working 24 years in Texas and we have a lot of Spanish people there. I've never had to ask anyone to speak only English in front of me because I've never had a reason to."

Some employees were fired, Whitten says, because they were hostile and insubordinate. He says they called him "a white (N-word)."

Fired hotel manager Kathy Archuleta says the workers initially tried to adjust to his style. "We had already gone through four or five owners before him, so we knew what to expect," Archuleta says. "I told (the workers) we needed to give him a chance."

Then Whitten told some employees he was changing their Spanish first names. Whitten says it's a routine practice at his hotels to change first names of employees who work the front desk phones or deal directly with guests if their names are difficult to understand or pronounce.

"It has nothing to do with racism. I'm not doing it for any reason other than for the satisfaction of my guests, because people calling from all over America don't know the Spanish accents or the Spanish culture or Spanish anything," Whitten says.

Martin Gutierrez, another fired employee, says he felt disrespected when he was told to use the unaccented Martin as his name. He says he told Whitten that Spanish was spoken in New Mexico before English. "He told me he didn't care what I thought because this was his business," Gutierrez says.

"I don't have to change my name and language or heritage," he says. "I'm professional the way I am."

Hummm. Let's do this. Let's change this guys name to "El Pendejo". That sounds better tham Larry Whitten. And this guy was a Marine? What a disgrace to Corps!
Racism by any other name or guise, still smells as bad!

Bank of America...I want 1,784 billion trillion dollars! Now!!!

Some people get mad over bad service. This guy really took it to the stupid circle!

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Dalton Chiscolm is unhappy about Bank of America's customer service -- really, really unhappy.

Chiscolm in August sued the largest U.S. bank and its board, demanding that "1,784 billion, trillion dollars" be deposited into his account the next day. He also demanded an additional $200,164,000, court papers show.

Attempts to reach Chiscolm were unsuccessful. A Bank of America spokesman declined to comment.

"Incomprehensible," U.S. District Judge Denny Chin said in a brief order released Thursday in Manhattan federal court.

"He seems to be complaining that he placed a series of calls to the bank in New York and received inconsistent information from a 'Spanish womn,'" the judge wrote. "He apparently alleges that checks have been rejected because of incomplete routing numbers."

Chin has experience with big numbers. He's the judge who sentenced Bernard Madoff to a 150-year prison sentence for what the government called a $65 billion Ponzi scheme.

Bank of America Corp faces real legal problems, including New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's threat to sue its chief executive and a judge's embarrassing rejection of a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Yet the money Chiscolm wants could dwarf all the bank's other problems.

It's larger than a sextillion dollars, or a 1 followed by 21 zeros. Chiscolm's request is equivalent 1 followed by 22 digits.

The sum also dwarfs the world's 2008 gross domestic product of $60 trillion, as estimated by the World Bank.

"These are the kind of numbers you deal with only on a cosmic scale," said Sylvain Cappell, New York University's Silver Professor at the Courant Institute for Mathematical Sciences. "If he thinks Bank of America has branches on every planet in the cosmos, then it might start to make some sense."

Judge Chin gave Chiscolm until October 23 to better explain the basis for his claims, or else see his complaint dismissed.

Chavez to Venezuelan TV Stations: No Family Guy! I'll Fine you!!!

Loopy Dictator Hugo Chavez hates Americans with a vengance! After banning "The Simpsons", Superman, Batman and the Hulk, he's setting his sights on "Family Guy"

CARACAS, Venezuela – Venezuelan authorities plan to impose fines on cable television companies that refuse to stop airing the animated television series "Family Guy."

Justice Minister Tareck El Aissami says the program should be pulled from the airwaves because it promotes the use of marijuana.

El Aissami was outraged by a recent episode in which the show's characters started a campaign to legalize marijuana.

He said Thursday that cable networks that broadcast "Family Guy" would be fined by Venezuela's telecommunications regulator if they refuse to dump the program.

The government of President Hugo Chavez is preparing to impose new regulations on cable television. Among other rules, cable providers could be forced to carry Chavez's frequent speeches.

Fortuño and Chavez

ASSHOLES!!!!

Friday...It's the second annual Get Fired Day!!!

Yes! Our bright governor, Luis Fortuño, is gearing up for a second round of firings of public employees. Probably between 10 to 20 thousand (that's right, thousands!)of employees will be fired today! The economist advising Mr. Fortuño think that by massive lay-offs, the economy will improve. Huh? What kind of logic is that? More unemployed means more houses being foreclosed, more morosity and late payments, more defaults, more crime.

Yet, goverment contracts to so called advisors keep getting fatter. Is expected that 2 Billion dollars would have been spent in these contracts by the end of the fiscal year. (Check Primerahora.com for more details!)

But are the contracts being annulled?

NO

But hard working Men and Women are getting laid off.

This is WRONG!

This is no goverment, this is a DICTATORSHIP!!!!

From now on, this blog will refer to Fortuño as Herr Luis Fortuño, overseer of the slave colony of Puerto Pobre (We are not Rich anymore!). But not as Fuhrer (Leader)

He's no leader!

He is an Asshole!!!!

So say we ALL!

Kanye West: the sequel! Speechless on Jay Leno Show!

President Obama thinks he’s a jackass. Hundreds of thousands of tweets have expressed similar sentiments. And last evening, Kanye West was one of the first guests on the premiere episode of Jay Leno’s new primetime show, where the musician said that he’s “ashamed” of crashing Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at Sunday night’s Video Music Awards.

Kanye had already been scheduled to perform of the show, but the interview was only added to the schedule after last night’s antics became the buzz of the media and the Web. After watching it, it seems fairly clear that Sunday’s antics were not staged, as Leno nearly brings Kanye to tears in asking about what his recently deceased mother would think of his actions.

Want your moment ruined? Call Kanye West!

I didn't watch the WMA's last night ( I don't think comedian Russell Brand is that funny and MTV is not showing videos anymore, so who cares!), but the little snippets that I watched were the important ones.

Note to the producers: do not give Kanye West ANY Alcohol! The guy becomes more of an A-Hole when drunk!
Look as he steals the spotlight from winner Taylor Swift and ruins the moment.

Later in the evening as Beyonce won Video of the Year, she showed class as she invited Taylor to the stage to finish her speech, interrupted by Kanye ("Bush don't care about black people") West.

Nice way to start a Monday!

I'm Sorry I cheated, darling. Here's a diamond to make it all better!

They say diamonds are a girls best friend. If this is true, then Robert Carlton's wife Elizabeth was the lady with the most amount of friends. Read on and laugh (or at least chortle a bit).

LONDON (Reuters) - Never again honey -- and here's a diamond to say sorry.

Every time British businessman Robert Charlton cheated on his wife, he bought her some extravagant jewelry to try to make amends. After 26 years of marriage, long-suffering Elizabeth Charlton had more than 40 glittering pieces.

Charlton's infidelity cost him nearly 300,000 pounds ($492,400) it emerged last month, when his daughter auctioned off the late couple's jewelry collection.

"He bought her a lot of things to keep her happy and to ease the pain of his many affairs," said Clare Durham, a spokeswoman for Woolley & Wallis, the auction house that handled the sale. "I think everybody knew it was a fairly open secret."

Over the course of his romances, Charlton, who died in 1974, bought his wife antique diamond earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces. One piece, a riviere necklace made up of 54 diamonds, was the most expensive item auctioned, fetching 50,000 pounds.

The riviere was once bought in the 1900s for around 400 pounds, the auction house said, a sum that would have made it extremely expensive when Charlton bought it in the 1960s.

"The big diamonds were Edwardian and Victorian so they were antique pieces when he bought them for her in the 60s and 70s," said Durham.

Charlton's daughter chose to auction a total of 43 pieces from the guilt-ridden collection after other family members declined to accept them. The family kept other pieces.

"He didn't just buy her jewelry when he played away. He did buy her gifts for birthdays and Christmas and things like that. I don't think he was that bad," said Durham.

No, probably not. Then again, all those diamonds...

The apology of Christian Bale.

The Diva...I mean actor Christian Bale issued an apology for the "misunderstanding" that happened on the set of "Terminator: Salvation".

He called in to Los Angeles' KROQ Friday morning and apologized on the Kevin & Bean show. “It’s been a miserable week for me." he declared.

"Listen, I know I have a pottymouth, everybody knows that now, but I understand this is live, so please don't worry, I will behave."

"The thing that I really want to stress is that I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order, beyond belief. I was way out of order. I acted like a punk. I regret that and there is nobody that has heard that tape that it's hit harder by it than me. So I make no excuses for it. It is inexcusable and I hope that is absolutely clear.”

“One thing that has really disturbed me throughout this, because I’m not familiar, I'm comfortable yet with this notion of being a movie star. I’m an actor and I’m don’t quite know how to handle the movie star thing. The thing that disturbs me so much is that I’ve heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think I’m better than anybody else."

"I'm embarrassed by it. I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, have they ever had a bad day and have they ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely."

"Feel free to make fun of me at my expense; I deserve it completely."

Oh yes, Mr. Bale. We are having fun at you expense for being so stupid!

I have worked on movie sets before, with directors like Steven Spielberg (Amistad in 1997) and George Clooney (Man staring at goats, 2008) among others and professionalism is the norm. DP's go into sets to check the lighting. It's part of the job! No actor, in my experience has ever complained about this. On the contrary, they always take it in stride and joke and laugh about it.
Mr. Bale's reaction was exaggerated and in very poor taste. The DP was not unprofessional, Mr. Bale was!

And this is not a common occurrence with Mr. Bale. He has earned the nickname of "Tanty" because of the constant temper tantrums he throws on sets when things don't go his way.

Mr. Bale should be grateful that he has a job that pays millions of dollars to play "dress-up" and "pretend" emotions. In this bad economy, he has been blessed. Thinking that the world revolves around him, does not help your cause. Remember, those that you trample on your way up, will be waiting for you, on your way down!

That's it. That's all I'm saying about that.
