After getting their iPhone prototype, Apple send its attack dogs with Gestapo type police actions!

It looks like no good deed goes unpunished!

SEATTLE – Authorities seized computers, digital cameras, a cell phone and other items from a technology blog editor who posted pictures and details of a lost iPhone prototype.

A computer-crime task force made up of multiple law enforcement agencies searched Gizmodo editor and blogger Jason Chen's house and car in Fremont, Calif., on Friday, according to a statement and search warrant documents provided by Gizmodo.

The warrant, issued by a Superior Court judge in San Mateo County, said the computers and other devices may have been used to commit a felony. Steve Wagstaffe, spokesman for the San Mateo County District Attorney's office, confirmed the warrant's authenticity.

Members of the Rapid Enforcement Allied Computer Team took several computers, hard drives, digital cameras, cell phones and other gadgets, plus Chen's American Express bill and copies of his checks.

Last week Gizmodo had one of the Web's hottest scoops when it posted photos of an Apple device that appeared to be a next-generation iPhone. It had been found in a bar in Redwood City, which is in San Mateo County, and sold for $5,000 by an unknown person to Gizmodo, a gadget blog owned by Gawker Media Inc.

After Chen, 29, posted photos and details about the phone, Apple acknowledged the device belonged to the company, and Gizmodo returned it.

Gawker Media said California law, which protects journalists from having to turn over anonymous sources or unpublished material to law enforcement during a search, should apply to Chen's property.

"Are bloggers journalists? I guess we'll find out," Nick Denton, who runs Gawker Media, wrote in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

Wagstaffe said the district attorney's office is examining that issue.

Apple spokesman Steve Dowling declined to comment.

5 year old boy punished for having long hair in school!

Another story coming from the dumbest state in the union; Texas!

BALCH SPRINGS, Texas — Taylor Pugh has been suspended from pre-kindergarten because he likes his hair a little on the floppy side.

The four-year-old sat with a teacher's aide in a suburban Dallas school library Wednesday while his friends played and studied together in a classroom.

"They kicked me out that place," said Taylor, who prefers the nickname Tater Tot. "I miss my friends."

Taylor's locks — long on the front and sides, covering his earlobes and shirt collar — violate the school district's dress code. He has been punished with in-school suspension since late last month.

His parents say the boy plans to eventually cut his hair and donate it to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients. And they are not happy with the district's rules.

The school district appears "more concerned about his hair than his education," said Taylor's father, Delton Pugh. "I don't think it's right to hold a child down and force him to do something ... when it's not hurting him or affecting his education."

Pugh, a tattoo artist, said he used to shave his own head but that his son "made me pinky promise I would let my hair grow long with him."

The follicle fight came to a head last month when Taylor's parents received a signed letter from Floyd Elementary School's principal, threatening to withdraw the boy from school if his hair didn't comply with district standards.

When Taylor's parents didn't budge, their son was suspended.

When the boy returned, his hair was longer than ever. But school officials decided suspension was too harsh and changed the punishment.

"They still have regular classroom work, but in an isolated environment," Mesquite Independent School District spokesman Ian Halperin said of the modified in-school suspension that Taylor is serving. "We expect students ... to adhere to the code of conduct."

According to the district dress code, boys' hair must be kept out of the eyes and cannot extend below the bottom of earlobes or over the collar of a dress shirt. Hairstyles "designed to attract attention to the individual or to disrupt the orderly conduct of the classroom or campus (are) not permitted," the policy states.

The district is known for standing tough on its dress code. Earlier this year, a seventh-grader in the district was sent home for wearing black skinny pants. His parents chose to home-school him.

On its Web site, the district defends its code, saying "students who dress and groom themselves neatly, and in an acceptable and appropriate manner, are more likely to become constructive members of the society in which we live."

A persistent violator could face additional suspensions, but such issues are handled on a case-by-case basis, Halperin said.

Pugh said the issue is about more than hair. He said his son is being singled out, and that he has seen other male students in the district with hair much longer than Taylor's.

"Nobody wants to meet in the middle. It's all or nothing," Pugh said. "He's my son. I love him. I will back him to the end."

La Palin makes a big boo boo!

Jeez, a couple of days after her stellar appearance in the debate, the foot came into the mouth once again!

Read the excerpt...

US Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin has accused the Democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama, of associating with terrorists.

She said he had been "palling around" with an ex-member of US-based militant group Weather Underground, which opposed the Vietnam War in the 1960s.

Mr Obama once served on a charity board with a member of the group, but he has denounced its activities.

A Democratic spokesman accused the Republicans of gutter politics.

"What's clear is that John McCain and Sarah Palin would rather spend their time tearing down Barack Obama than laying out a plan to build up our economy," Hari Sevugan said.

More on this story here!

Are they stupid? Or desperate? They try to discredit Obama instead of focusing on the real issue, how are they going to get the USA out of the financial mess their own party and fuhrer...I mean leader, George W. Bush has put them.

They feel they are going to lose and they know it...
unless...
you know...

STEAL IT!!!!

Seven years after...

I know...I know...it's Sept. the 12, still seven years after the events of September the eleventh, are we better off? Are we more secure? Is the interventions in Afghanistan and Iraq solving anything? 3,200 people died in the 9/11 attacks, until now over 150,000 persons have died in different attacks and wars caused by this event. And the so-called mastermind of this operation, Osama Bin Laden, is nowhere to be found.

Have we solved anything?

Are things getting better?

Nope, sorry! the world's is in a worse place than seven years ago.

And probably will get worse!

The Crook has 5 more accusations!

Our Governor, Anibal Acevedo Vila has been reamed again by federal prosecutors. They added 5 more charges of money laundering with Empresas Santana by using his campaign as a front. If proven, they can carry a possible 20 year prison sentence.

Poor stupid crook!

Yet there's something off about this...

This comes 11 weeks before the general elections. Are they trying to manipulate them?

How come they haven't identified the feds that killed Filiberto Ojeda Rios, David Sanes and the police officer some agent killed in an operative?

Hummm...

So many questions, so little credibility.

Our Commander in Chief at work!

As you may (or may not) know, Resident...oops, President George W. Bush was in Beijing for the opening of the summer Olympic games. What you may not have seen was the unguarded moments the press caught the President making an ass out of himself! In the photos he's mocking the people in front of him, and in the other he's patting the back side of one of the female vollyball players of the US team.
It's actually really funny, but it makes me shiver that this guy is in charge and has the codes to launch nuclear weapons!
I hope Cheney has him on a short leash!

Fake Olympics?

An unbalanced Olympic coverage favoring USA? No...it can be!!!! Read on...

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The glow of NBC's Olympic ratings victory threatens to be sullied by reports that the Beijing Olympic Committee and the network have been less-than-scrupulous in their presentation of the Summer Games.

Organizers are accused of mixing in fake CGI fireworks during Friday night's opening ceremony, while NBC is said to have added a bogus "Live" stamp to tape-delayed West Coast feed of competition coverage this weekend, and edited the "parade of nations" segment of the opening ceremony to delay the entrance of the U.S. Olympic Team.

A look at each report, along with a response from NBC Sports:

Accusation: Viewers were misled by the use of computer-generated fireworks during a sweeping helicopter shot leading up to the Bird's Nest. Organizers note the fireworks were there, but the footage was created in advance due to the danger of shooting live from a nearby helicopter.

NBC Response: An NBC Sports spokesperson says U.S. viewers were informed of the manipulation. Commentators Matt Lauer and Bob Costas said the fireworks were a digital effect. From the opening ceremony transcript during the fireworks in question:

Lauer: "You're looking at a cinematic device employed by Zhang Yimou here. This is actually almost animation. A footstep a second, 29 in all, to signify the 29 Olympiads."

Costas: "We said earlier that aspects of this Opening Ceremony are almost like cinema in real time. Well this is quite literally cinematic."

Analysis: Mixing real and CGI fireworks during an Olympic event is visually misleading, though NBC did try to address the issue. The question is, during a spectacular-looking shot, do the phrases "cinematic device" and "almost animation" really convey that the image wasn't real? It seems more to hint that something about it wasn't quite literal, while coming shy of saying -- in far more clear and simple terms -- "this is a digitally manufactured shot to represent what's happening right now outside the stadium."

Accusation: NBC is time stamping West Coast feeds of competition coverage with a "Live" tag even though the coverage is not live.

NBC Response: A spokesperson points out the constant "Live" tag is accompanied by twice-per-hour time stamps that inform West Coast viewers that the event was only live on the East Coast (ex. "10:05 ET").

"The audience makeup of the Olympics is very much like that of 'American Idol' and 'Dancing with the Stars' which have 'live' season finales presented in much the same way," an NBC Sports spokesperson says. "You assume there's a large amount of intelligence in the viewing audience, so when they see those twice-an-hour time stamps they'll understand what is being presented."

Analysis: If a sporting event's feed isn't live, a broadcaster should avoid using an omnipresent "live" tag. The best reason to have this tag on a West Coast feed (and to not put a clear "tape delayed" notice) is for the same reason some are incensed -- it gives viewers an impression of live urgency that isn't quite there. Like with the fireworks, the original complaint is mollified by the facts, to a degree: to a casual viewer the coverage shows one thing, while to somebody paying close attention, it shows something slightly less exciting.

Accusation: NBC edited the "parade of nations" from the original order to delay the entrance of U.S. athletes.

NBC Response: An NBC Sports spokesman says the order was unchanged.

Analysis: Editing a sporting event like a reality show to save the most eagerly awaited moments for the conclusion would be an issue -- if it were true. As it is, online reports have provided no real evidence.

Fake Olympics!!!! That's why they didn't show Puerto Rico in the ceremony. They edited it out!!!! That's why I'm watching the war between Russia and Georgia. It's real and much more entertaining!

Today is dead Americans day!

Americans citizens are having a tough time today. First the father-in-law of the coach of the US male volleyball team gets knifed and killed in Beijing, and now this...

ZURICH (Reuters) - Two American climbers have been found dead on the Matterhorn mountain in the southern Swiss canton Valais, local police said on Saturday.

The bodies of the 57-year-old woman and the 53-year-old man were found at an altitude of around 4,000 meters late on Friday, said Jean-Marie Bornet, head of information and prevention for the Valais cantonal police.

The two climbers had been missing since Thursday.

"They were climbing, then they fell and were killed. It is not clear why they fell," but the weather was bad at the time, Bornet said. He did not give the climbers' names or home town.

Oh mate! It sucks to be an American today. Actually it sucks being a US Citizen since Bush took over!

Another outrage by DAS AMERIKANERS!!!!

Das Gestapo...I mean "Homeland Security" is violating the little privacy you have. Read on and have fun...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. federal agents have been given new powers to seize travelers' laptops and other electronic devices at the border and hold them for unspecified periods the Washington Post reported on Friday.

Under recently disclosed Department of Homeland Security policies, such seizures may be carried out without suspicion of wrongdoing, the newspaper said, quoting policies issued on July 16 by two DHS agencies.

Agents are empowered to share the contents of seized computers with other agencies and private entities for data decryption and other reasons, the newspaper said.

DHS officials said the policies applied to anyone entering the country, including U.S. citizens, and were needed to prevent terrorism.

The measures have long been in place but were only disclosed in July, under pressure from civil liberties and business travel groups acting on reports that increasing numbers of international travelers had had their laptops, cellphones and other digital devices removed and examined.

The policies cover hard drives, flash drives, cell phones, iPods, pagers, beepers, and video and audio tapes -- as well as books, pamphlets and other written materials, the report said.

The policies require federal agents to take measures to protect business information and attorney-client privileged material. They stipulate that any copies of the data must be destroyed when a review is completed and no probable cause exists to keep the information.

In other words, no info is safe! You have no security! Das Amerikaners will make you talk! Heil BUSH!!!

The Crook says: "Have your ID...or else!"

As always our crook/governor Anibal Acevedo Vila will always try to do something for the American overlords that will send him to prison. This time is bringing the dreaded National ID card as a driver's license. "This is the new ID that the Americans, using the Patriot Act, want us to use."
Of course as a good lackey of "Das Amerikaner" he forgot to tell us that this is a new infringement of our civil liberties, which has almost disappeared under the rule of our esteemed "Fuhrer" George W. "I was AWOL in Vietnam" Bush, and continue to be eroded, while we the sheep, fight over "Objetivo Flema" and "American Idiot".
So get ready for those beautiful words when a law enforcement officer says:"Papiren Juden!" Those concentration camps and final solutions cannot be far behind!
